The Alto planter is our submission for the 2021 Umbra outliers project at Humber college. As a part of our curriculum we work with designers from Umbra to create a product that is an outlier from their products. The Alto standing plater was chosen as the winning concept from out cohort.
Designed in collaboration with Andrew Chartrand and Mitchell Willey.
A highly requested feature was portability. Included inset wheels are only active once the planter is tipped back and ready to move

Easy assembly with standardized bolts and rubber stoppers that become hidden in the dirt.

Water Management
To prevent negative impacts on plants, we mitigated overwatering by adding a water distribution system. Excess water drips to lower levels to prevent root rot.
